How long have you been doing EcoTrek?
Since November 2009.
What personal goals have you reached since beginning EcoTrek Fitness sessions?
I have three small girls and I have spent the last five years focusing on their needs and not taking care of myself. I began running but not
seeing results. Since I started going to EcoTrek, I have gained stamina and strength that I hope to continue to improve.
Which route/location is your favorite?
The Holland Series offers so many awesome routes, it is hard to pick one. Laketown has dune climbs that are tough but rewarding to stand at the top and see beautiful Lake Michigan.
Many people find the thought of trying EcoTrek rather intimidating. What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant about working out, outside, in all kinds of crazy weather?
West Michigan weather is always changing -- that is what makes EcoTrekking so fun -- the terrain and views are never the same. My advice: try it, you will like it!
What activities have you been inspired to try since you started EcoTrekking?
I am going to run a 5K! And I just tried snowshoeing -- I never even thought of trying that before.
I look forward to each session; I have the dates and times circled on my calendar. With the support of the EcoTrek Leaders, it is easy to stay motivated!
