How long have you been doing EcoTrek?
I'm kind of a newbie; just since April 2010!
What personal goals have you reached since beginning EcoTrek Fitness sessions?
I've lost 15 pounds and 4 inches from my waist. My best (favorite) goal I've reached is being able to do Coast Guard Park's stairs two at a time. Just last week I realized I am able to hold a "full star" for a few seconds... that's huge for me, considering I couldn't even support my own weight when I first started.
Which route/location is your favorite?
I bounce between Cari's & Lori's... I have to say I like Coast Guard Park the best, because I can walk there from my home (extra bonus!) plus I love to "hate" the mountains my leaders call hills! It's a personal challenge to get to the top.
Many people find the thought of trying EcoTrek rather intimidating. What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant about working out, outside, in all kinds of crazy weather?
Step outside of your comfort zone. It's a great, FUN workout & it's so much easier to stick to something you like. How often can you laugh when you're stuck on a boring treadmill indoors? I've met some amazing people too.
What activities have you been inspired to try since you started EcoTrekking?
I want to try a 5K race, and I'm thinking of mountain biking. I'm more inspired to help others reach their personal goals. I love walking and tackling hills.
The changes in my body & overall attitude are amazing. The personal
satisfaction I get when I've reached the top of a sand dune is indescribable. I love my leaders Cari & Lori -- thank you for helping me be a better me!
